Journey South West to the jewel in the English Crown. Devon and Cornwall has everything.
Once again, we zig-zag via Castle Combe, Bath or Stonehenge towards hidden harbours and unspoilt villages all at the clients own pace. No one is watching the clock or limiting the visit here…although there is a lot to see.
Lime Regis, Torquay and Bere Regis dot the jaw dropping Devonshire Jurassic coastline towards Durdle Door testing the leg muscles while St Michaels Mount tests our patience (as we can only cross over when the tide is low)
The Minack Theatre, sat on the jagged Cliffside, is the labour of love of one amazing lady. Rowena Cade loved the theatre so much she crafted the entire auditorium into the Cliffside with the help of her gardener, lots of sand from the beach and an iron will. A visit alone is worth the Instagram post but you have not truly visited the Minack until you have returned in the evening to see Shakespeare performed. The ocean backdrop is the ever evolving scenery to all performances. Mind blowing.Fishing villages of Fowey, Polperro and Cadgwith evoke memories of pirates, smuggling and a tough sea faring nation. The salt air is as fresh as the seafood and, when washed down with good Cornish cider, aids a great night’s sleep in one of the many boutique hotels of the area.
